Celadon Books, a division of Macmillan Publishers, has acquired the publishing rights to a memoir from former Director of the CIA, John Brennan. The memoir will cover Brennan’s diverse and distinguished career, spanning over 33 years in government, 29 at the CIA and four at the White House, during which he served under six presidential administrations, three Republicans and three Democrats, beginning with Presidents Carter and Reagan and ending with President Obama.

Speaking on behalf of Celadon Books, President and Publisher Jamie Raab, said, “For many years, John Brennan has been a witness to, and participant in, key moments in recent American history, including such pivotal events as the first Gulf war, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Arab Spring, the hunt for Bin Laden, and Russia’s aggressive efforts to undermine U.S. national security. His memoir promises to provide candid accounts of the milestones and events that have shaped his life and career, as well as the lessons in integrity and leadership that have always informed his actions.”

The memoir is currently untitled and will be published in 2020.
