Celadon Books Acquires Novel by John Vercher, DEVIL IS FINE

In the book, a biracial Black college professor, grieving the death of his only child, inherits land in a northeast beach community discovered to have been a plantation. He is haunted by the souls buried there, forcing him to confront his notions of faith, family, and identity.
