I’m thrilled to announce the promotion of Ryan Doherty to VP, Editorial Director, Celadon Books.
Ryan is one of the original team members of Celadon who began on day one on the top floor of the Flatiron Building. One of his first acquisitions was the #1 New York Times bestseller The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, which has now sold over four million copies worldwide.
He has also acquired the New York Times bestsellers The Whisper Man by Alex North, HRH by Elizabeth Holmes, Love People, Use Things by The Minimalists, and, of course, The Maidens by Alex Michaelides, as well as Last Call by Elon Green and You’re Not Listening by Kate Murphy, among others. Upcoming titles include Unmasked by Paul Holes, Black Skinhead by Brandi Collins-Dexter, and Bad City by Paul Pringle.
Prior to joining Macmillan, Ryan was Vice President, Literary Development for Sony Pictures Entertainment, focusing on book to film and television development.
