Jamie Raab is Publisher-At-Large, Macmillan Publishers. Previously, she was President of Celadon Books, a division of Macmillan Publishers that she co-founded with Deb Futter in 2017.
Prior to joining Macmillan, Jamie was President and Publisher of Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group. In that role, she directed the publication of approximately 275 titles per year on Grand Central Publishing’s hardcover, trade paperback, and mass market lists. Jamie was also responsible for overseeing publishing activities of its imprints, including Twelve, Grand Central Life & Style, and Forever, which were created during her tenure.
Jamie joined the company (then Warner Books) in 1986 and over her years with the company acquired and/or edited a wide range of fiction and nonfiction titles, including works by Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, Nicholas Sparks, Michael Moore, Nelson DeMille, Robin Roberts, Amy Sedaris, Sandra Brown, Brad Meltzer, Anne Rivers Siddons, Billie Letts, Rafael Yglesias, Dr. Jane Goodall, Admiral William McRaven, and Al Franken.
Under Jamie’s direction, Grand Central Publishing and its imprints published an impressive range of fiction and nonfiction—from thriller writers to comedians to self-help experts—in all formats. A sampling includes: David Baldacci, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, Scott Turow, Chelsea Handler, Gwyneth Paltrow, Henry Paulsen, Eric Schmidt, Sebastian Junger, and Christopher Hitchens.
Jamie earned her B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She was a long-standing member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Publishing at NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies and a board member of Goddard-Riverside Community Center. Jamie was named one of the “Top Women in Book Publishing” by Book Business magazine. She lives in New York City.
