Celadon Books Acquires Non-Fiction Book 'ART CURE' by Daisy Fancourt

Celadon Books is excited to announce the acquisition of ART CURE: THE SCIENCE OF HOW ART CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE by Daisy Fancourt, Director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Center on Arts and Health and head of the Social Biobehavioral Research Group at University College London. This non-fiction book details the author's research on how consuming and creating art positively affects our health and happiness.

"I love books that only one person can write," says Ryan Doherty, Vice President, Editorial Director at Celadon Books. "Fancourt is the expert, the person researching and scientifically proving that consuming and performing art — singing, dancing, visiting galleries, attending live music — is essential for our health and happiness. Through stories, science, and tangible takeaways, the goal with ART CURE is that readers don't see art as a luxury, but a necessity."

Doherty acquired the book at auction from Ian Bonaparte at Janklow & Nesbit, on behalf of Will Francis at Janklow & Nesbit UK.

ART CURE is scheduled to be published in 2025.
