Celadon Books Acquires Debut Thriller 'Best Offer Wins' by Marisa Kashino

Celadon Books is proud to announce the acquisition of BEST OFFER WINS, a darkly satirical debut thriller by The Washington Post editor Marisa Kashino about a young woman pushed to increasingly deviant, possibly deadly, means to win her dream house, set in the wildly competitive real estate market of suburban Washington D.C.

"From the first line of BEST OFFER WINS I was hooked," says Ryan Doherty, Vice President, Editorial Director at Celadon Books. "It's darkly funny with a voice you won't forget. I can't wait for readers to be introduced to Margo Miyake."

Doherty acquired the book in a pre-empt and two book deal from Ethan Schattler and Meredith Miller at UTA.

Two compact discs (CDs) with shiny, reflective surfaces are overlapping each other on a white background. The discs display a spectrum of colors due to the light reflection, creating a rainbow-like effect.
