Celadon Books is proud to announce the acquisition of Vietnamese American activist, playwright, and performer Susan Lieu's THE MANICURIST'S DAUGHTER, from the daughter of Vietnamese nail salon owners, about her family doing the "refugee hustle," and her grief and subsequent quest for answers after her mother's death from routine plastic surgery. Publisher and Senior Vice President Deb Futter acquired the book, at auction, for publication in winter 2023, by Monika Verma at Levine Greenberg Rostan (world).
