Celadon Books Acquires Nonfiction Book '#EXXONKNEW' by Jill Abramson

Celadon Books is proud to announce the acquisition of #EXXONKNEW, a nonfiction book by former New York Times Editor Jill Abramson, an investigative reporter's account of ExxonMobil's attempt to cover up scientific evidence of the environmental damage it inflicted on the planet, and the trial in Boston that will be a long-awaited showdown between the third most profitable company in the world and the State of Massachusetts, environmentalists, and members of the Rockefeller family, whose ancestor, John D. Rockefeller, was the founder of Standard Oil, Exxon's corporate forebearer.

"Jill Abramson is both a great narrative writer and one of the best investigative reporters in the country," says Executive Editor Bill Hamilton. "In telling the story of ExxonMobil, its role in covering up the damage it inflicted with its fossil fuels, and the coalition of environmentalists and state officials determined to hold it accountable, she will bring those skills together in what we believe will be a very important book."

Hamilton acquired the book in a pre-empt from Suzanne Gluck at WME.

Two compact discs (CDs) with shiny, reflective surfaces are overlapping each other on a white background. The discs display a spectrum of colors due to the light reflection, creating a rainbow-like effect.
