Celadon Books Acquires Nonfiction Book by Two-Time Pulitzer Prize Winner Scott Shane

Celadon Books is proud to announce the acquisition of two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and former New York Times reporter Scott Shane's FLEE NORTH, a narrative account of an unlikely pair of fierce abolitionists—a young, Yale-educated white man and a self-educated freed slave—who helped hundreds of slaves escape north from Washington and Baltimore to freedom in Canada in the 1840s. The nonfiction book was acquired by Executive Editor Bill Hamilton, for publication in spring 2023, from Larry Weissman at Larry Weissman Literary (NA).
